About Us
Grace has been in business for appoximately 30 years. It is a private Methodist Preschool accepting all children ages 1 to Pre-Kindergarten. All teachers follow the curriculum written by the State of SC for Preschool and Kindergarten. South Carolina currently has the 2nd highest standards in the country. Hours of OperationWe are open Monday through Friday, September 7th through May 23nd. Hours of operation are from 9am to 12pm. Mother's Morning Out times are from 8:50am to 11:50am. Please see Important Dates for detailed information and school closings.
Enrollment PoliciesWe follow all laws and policies of South Carolina. All children must be the age of the designated class by September 1st. Our student teach ratios are as follows:

Our MissionOur mission of the Weekday School is to provide the best conditions possible to promote the growth of your child in a loving Christian environment. Each child is guided to attain their own potential-emotionally, mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually; strengthen each child’s capacity to establish healthy relationships with children their own age; to find joy and satisfaction in creative work and learning; to respect themselves and others; and to encourage a greater awareness of God as our Creator.

Our Staff 2010 - 2011All teachers at GWDS are required to have 15 hours of Early Childhood Education training each year.Teachers and the Director are members of the South Carolina Early Childhood Association and the Southern Early Childhood Association. The Director is also a member of the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). All teachers are certified in the infant/child CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross.
